Lee, DST and the Olympics

DST is very fortunate to have opportunities to make an impact in very diverse athlete populations and being part of the United States Sailing Olympic & Developmental Teams is an example of our uniqueness. We assist in the organization and implementation of their strength and conditioning program and are members of their Performance Enhancement Team (PET).
Many of you may not know that Sailing is an Olympic sport or what the heck they do in the sport of sailing. I am also here to tell you that I do not know everything about sailing, but over the last 4 years and especially over the last year working directly with the team and being a part of their training camps at the OTC, I have grown to admire the sport but more significantly, the athletes and coaches in the sport.
DST enjoys the opportunities we have working with what is considered the “big 3” in professional sports (Football, Basketball & Baseball), but there is no comparison when it comes to being able to represent our country. Being immersed in that culture is an experience that motivates me to develop myself into a better resource for these athletes! Speaking for the US Olympic Sailing Team, their sheer love, dedication and honor permeates from their pores in the form of blood, sweat and tears, and even if you may not follow their sport, you have to respect the fact that they are driven by passion and not by money or fame.
If you are interested in their sport, check out these sites. With it being their Olympic year, please support them in their campaigns to bring home GOLD!!!
