Our Team
Lee Fiocchi, CSCS
Lee is the Founder and Owner of Dynamic Sports Training. He is also the Head Strength & Conditioning coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He has been featured on ESPN as well as in USA Today, the LA Times, Houston Chronicle, and The Boston Globe. Lee played football at the collegiate level. There, he discovered his desire to help athletes reach their goals. He founded DST in 2008 with the vision to challenge every individual athlete’s genetic potential in their sport(s).

Kevin Poppe, CSCS, RSCC*D, FRC, FMS Pro Level 1
Kevin joined DST in 2011 and is an owner of DST as well as Director of Operations at DST North. He has been featured on MLB Network as well as in ESPN Magazine, The Athletic and The Houston Chronicle for his work with many of the top athletes in the country. Poppe played and coached baseball at Concordia University in Nebraska. Poppe is Rapsodo Pitching Certified and a member of the Diamond Kinetics Hitting Council.

Jordan Ainsworth, CPT
Jordan is our Off-Site Trainer at DST. He has a CPT certification through ACSM. Prior to working at DST, Jordan played basketball at the collegiate level and coached at the high school level. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from Mississippi College. Since joining DST, Jordan has become an expert at prepubescent development and become proficient in training athletes of all ages and all levels. His knowledge and experience continually prepare our athletes for the next level.

Kyle Kleeman, NFPT
Kyle is in charge of our NFL Combine preparation training. He runs the strength & conditioning at Houston Christian High School where he’s also on the football coaching staff. Prior to working at DST, Kyle played collegiate football and won a national championship at Northwest Missouri State University. Kyle earned a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Recreation & Wellness and is NFPT certified.

Sammy Knox, NSCA-CSCS; FMS Professional Level 1 & 2
Sammy is a Certified strength & conditioning coach through the NSCA and Sports Performance Specialist at our DST South location (coming April 2018). Sammy received his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and has been training athletes since 2011. As an athlete, Sammy played baseball at Cisco junior college and has a background in powerlifting. His passion is to guide athletes on how to get the most out of their given abilities.

Chelsea Bellinger, CPT
Chelsea Bellinger is the Director of Adult Fitness at DST North. Chelsea received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Miami University (OH). With a CPT certification through ACSM and background in Nutrition, Chelsea helps individuals improve their overall health through fitness and nutrition.

Dennis “DK” Koenck
Dennis is the Director of Strength at DST San Antonio. He grew up in Houston and graduated from Bellaire Highschool in 2010. He played baseball at Jarvis Christian where he was a team captain and received a Gold Glove award. He graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and made the Deans/President Lists academically. Dennis loves training because it shows how much passion he has for making people around him better in all aspects – whether it’s finishing a rep, or in life itself.

Garrett Kelly, MS, SCCC
Garrett is the Director of Strength and Conditioning at DST Arizona at Arizona Christian University. He works with many of our professional athletes in Phoenix as well as student athletes at ACU. Before joining the DST team in January of 2017, Garrett played college ball at Tarleton State University where he garnered All-Conference honors and won Conference Tournament MVP. Upon graduation, Garrett stayed at Tarleton as an intern under Rod Cole. After that, he joined the Strength and Conditioning staff at Houston Baptist University under Rene Peña.

Kevin Williams, CSCS
Kevin Williams is a sports performance specialist at DST North. Originally from Angleton, TX, Kevin played baseball for Tyler Junior College and LSU Shreveport. He graduated from LSU Shreveport in 2016 with a B.S. in Community Health with a concentration of physical activity. After college Kevin pitched professionally for one year with the Tampa Bay Rays organization in the Gulf Coast League. Kevin began his internship with DST in September of 2017, officially hired as staff in February of 2018. He has experience working with athletes of all ages and levels, from youth to our professional athletes.

Jimmy Kizer
Jimmy is a sports performance specialist at DST West. He grew up in Corpus Christi, TX , where he graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2011. He played baseball at North Arkansas Junior College and East Texas Baptist University. He started his training experience in late 2012 as an assistant Strength Coach for Coastal Bend College in Beeville, TX. Jimmy trained at DST as an athlete in the summer of 2014, and came back for his internship in January of 2018. Jimmy‘s favorite part of training is the different types of relationships he gets to build with each individual athlete.

Josh Graber, BBA
Josh is the Director of Business Operations at DST. Prior to working at DST, Josh co-founded an online marketing company after graduation from Baylor University, where he received his BBA in marketing in 2010. Josh joined Team DST in 2014. He is passionate about sports having played multiple sports & coached football at the high school level.

Ryan Henry
Ryan Henry is a Business Operations Associate at DST South. He received a bachelor of arts degree in multidisciplinary studies with focuses in business, communications, and math, graduating in December of 2016 from the University of Texas in San Antonio. He was president of the club baseball team for three years where he managed, coached, and played. He was named pitcher of the month in May of 2012 where he led his conference in strikeouts and ERA. He joined the DST team in 2017.

Hayden Letts, CSCS, RSCC
Hayden is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and a Sports Performance Specialist at DST North. Originally from Danville, CA, Hayden interned at DST North in the summer of 2018. He was hired in October 2018. Since then he has gained experience training athletes of all ages, and assists management of DST North’s professional baseball offseason.

Dr. Steven Islas, PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Islas is our in-house sports physical therapist at DST. He grew up in Big Spring, TX playing multiple sports at the high school level. While living in west Texas, he received his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB). Steven completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University – Houston in 2018. He is passionate about helping athletes return to throwing, running, and sport performance.
Jamie Balevic

Jamie Balevic is a sports performance specialist and hitting coach at DST Arizona. He works in the weight room and cages with the youth athletes, as well as ACU’s baseball team. Prior to joining DST in August of 2019, Jamie played college ball at Wayland Baptist University where he received his BBA, interned at True Grind Systems under hitting coach Scott Lacey, and was a baseball coach for Arizona Christian University. His favorite part of training is helping athletes transfer their new strength and speed to the field
Ray Karvis, MSEd, CSCS

Coach Ray Karvis joined the DST-Az Team as an assistant strength coach in September of 2019 and serves as the assistant director of sports performance. He brings over twenty years of experience as an S&C coach to the team. Coach K recently completed a chapter on speed and agility as a co-author to the NSCA high school strength and conditioning manual slated to come out in the spring of 2021. He is married to his wife Mandi and resides in Phoenix Arizona.
Julianna Leyva

Julianna Leyva is a Business Operations Associate at DST North. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from New Jersey City University in May of 2017. She was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader for the majority of her childhood and teenage years; she also was a coach for her former high school’s cheerleading team. Julianna joined the DST team in 2021.
Chris Sampson
Chris Sampson is a Performance Coach and Client Relations Representative for DST and operated out of DST North. Sampson played several years in MLB as a starting pitcher for the Houston Astros. Sampson has coaching experience at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. All three of his sons are current DST athletes.
Ryan DeRouen
Ryan DeRouen is a DST Pitching Consultant & Analyst / Performance Coach certified by both Driveline and Rapsodo. Ryan graduated from San Jac in 2020 with an Associates of Science in Computer Science. Ryan started his internship in January of 2020 and was hired in August of that same year. Since joining DST he has performed numerous pitch analyses, biomechanical assessments, and gained valuable experience training athletes of all ages and skill levels. Among the services Ryan provides are in-depth pitching reports, RapScores by Rapsodo, pitch design, repertoire building consultations and throwing programming.
Michael Goodrich
Goodrich is an Arizona native and a Performance Coach at DST San Antonio under Dennis Koenck. He played baseball at Trinity University where he is a 2-time All-Conference Catcher.
