CAMPS & SPECIALTY GROUPS

Specialized in strength & speed training. Our elite trainers help athletes of all levels progress in their sport.

In this section, we will update with camps and specialty programs as they become available for registration. Please check back regularly if you do not see the group you are looking for. VELOCITY THROWING PROGRAM W/ STRENGTH TRAINING

October 21 – December 20: This Fall/Winter, redefine your athletic abilities with DST’s specialized 9-week Strength and Conditioning Camp, featuring a cutting-edge Velocity Development Throwing Program. From October 21 to December 20, join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for two and a half hour sessions designed to catapult your performance to the next level.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Comprehensive Arm Care: Protect and strengthen your arm with expert-led routines.
  • Increased Throwing Velocity: Learn techniques to significantly boost your throwing speed.

Program Structure: Start with a 2-week on-ramp phase to acclimate and prepare your body, followed by 6 weeks of intense focus on building strength, power, and velocity. Our program meticulously integrates the use of overload and underload weighted balls within a framework that combines mobility work, strength training, power drills, detailed arm care, and precise mechanical adjustments.

Expert Coaching: Guided by the seasoned expertise of Coach Bryan Brickhouse, a former professional pitcher with over ten years of experience and a qualified Strength & Conditioning coach, each session is crafted to ensure holistic development and improvement. Coach Brickhouse’s experience and insights into both professional athletics and conditioning training make him the perfect mentor to help you achieve your best.

DST North Fall Youth Speed Camp (Ages 9-13)

October 14-October 18: Team sport athletes: Learn from the best coaches in the Houston area at DST North’s Speed Camp. This camp will be Monday-Friday from 6-7p. During this camp, athletes will learn the foundations of being an explosive athlete and attain skills in developing:

  • Start Technique
  • Power
  • Acceleration
  • Max Velocity
  • Change of Direction

Each athlete will also leave with a 4-week speed development program that they can follow at home via the FYTT app with detailed videos and techniques to help the athlete develop their explosiveness!
